Whats the star?

There are some stars near our profile photo. It is to be seen nearly above everyone's 'head'. What does it indicate? When you take your mouse over it, it says mylot reputation. What's this reputation? And how is it counted? Is it nice to be lower the order or above the order?

It's your ranking out of 100 abhi. You first get it when you reach 100 posts and your score is determined by the number of positive or negative ratings people give you throughout your time on mylot. If you hav a look at every discussion or response you will see to the right a +, -, and ! symbol. Plus for positive, minus for negative and ! to report abuse of the mylot terms and conditions. The more pluses you get, obviously the higher your rating and vice versa. Some people like to have low stars, some high stars; it's all up to you! Just be yourself, make an effort and be respectful and I am sure you will have a higher rather than a lower one.
