How do you save money ?

# I do not like spending money, so when I have to spend I always look for the sale. I rarely pay full price for anything and if I have a money saving coupon, all the better.
# If I see something I like at the store and it is not on sale I will not buy it. I will look online to see if I can get it cheaper or I will wait for it to go on sale. If it doesn't go on sale I will not buy it.
# I also use coupons at the grocery store, department stores and even restaurants. I like it when the grocery stores have double coupons and you save even more by using the store club card.
# As in another thread I started, I also grow my own vegetables and that saves me lot of money per year. I blanch and freeze the vegetable to hold us over for after the harvesting.
There are many more ways we can save money and it would be interesting to find out your ways. So, what do you do to save money?

I am a master at saving money, I never go over my budget and I always have the majority of my paycheck to put to the side- I am basically a great example for very frugal living haha.
I do not buy myself many personal items, it is rare for me to buy clothing and other knick knacks, I only buy what I need at the time, and when I do buy something I make sure I have something to make it discounted, like coupons, etc. Go to www.Retailmenot.com - they have awesome coupons for just about every store you can think of!
At my home I grow all of the vegetables I eat, and then can the surplus for the winter time, you should see the collection I have got going over here!
I put away my money and I don't touch it, I make myself forget that I even have it so I am not tempted to spend it!
We are oil independent at home, we have made it so we will not be using it to heat our house this winter... The house will be heated by a wood pellet stove instead, this saves a lot of money!

i can save money by buying only the necessary things. i usually spend money on food and not on any other things which i don't really need.

To save more money i always looking for stuff which is having a discounts and for sale and then we have a store card which you can earn discounts in every purchase you made from them. And my hubby used to share a car with his friend instead of using the car everyday to save the petrol. I just buy what is needed and i discipline myself not to shop often. Happy posting.

I belong to a few freebie forums online and always keep an eye out when certain companies are giving away coupons and so on. I have two cats and one company was sending out coupons for a buy one get one can of cat food. I know it was only two cans but thats money saved regardless. Alot of companies will send you coupons just for requesting them which always helps save a little here and there:)
