Is Attractiveness a factor?

Okay, this may seem a little wierd to some but when I first saw Sarah Palin I remeber thinking to myself, "Man, she's actually kinda hot!", And then a couple days later I realized that I felt a LOT more favorably of McCain. So here's my question: Do you think Sarah Palin's attractivness will in any way sway voters? I wouldn't say I'm the kind of person to be swayed over by stuff like this, but even I caught myself feeling differently after Sarah Palin entered the picture.

Was it a factor with John Edwards? Or Bill Clinton? Or is it a factor with Barack Obama? I think that the left is more interested in image. Not strictly looks, But charisma and charm. One of the first thing the left hated about Bush was his apparent inability to speak well. I have heard many, many times How they just wish we had a President who could speak well.

I must say I admire your honest but thank God you at least say you're not the kind of person to be swayed by "stuff like this". I'm a woman and I'm NOT jealous of Palin but I somehow don't see how she's so "hot". She reminds me more of a schoolmarm or a librarian - no offense, Taskr, I'm talking about the old-time image of the old-maid librarian with glasses...lol! I remember when she was first introduced someone here posted how she dressed so much better than Hillary but that was after seeing her in her black skirt only once or twice; now I'm convinced she only has a black skirt or two and a pair of black pants and various blazers and jackets because that's all she wears. At least Hillary wore different colored pantsuits every time we saw her. Anyway, being "hot" isn't going to fix the economy or keep us safe so it sure shouldn't be a factor. Annie
