What anime are you watching now?

The animes, all of them are not finished. :D Soul Eater is very creative. It's a bit like Shaman King but it talks about wizard and students. A bit like harry potter fighting witches and evil spirits. The meisters (wielders) and their weapons work together. The weapons are human who can transform into weapons, these need to eat evil souls to increase strength.

Mmm, those are quite old animes, right? I must say I didn't watch some of them but my passion for anime started when I was 7 years old...after watching Dragon Ball. :P It was such a great anime back then. And I continued my anime journey with Saint Seiya and Slam Dunk. :D

Welcome to the N.H.K - In Japan, "NHK" refers to the TV channel and broadcasting corporation Nippon Hoso Kyokai, but within the series, the main character believes it stands for Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai which means "The Japanese Hikikomori Association", a reference to the protagonist's claim of a subversive conspiracy led by NHK (the broadcasting corporation) to create NHK (the hikikomori group). While it mainly deals with the reclusive phenomenon of hikikomori, the plot also explores many other Japanese subcultures — for example: otaku, lolicon, and internet suicide. Despite the shows name, "Welcome to the N.H.K." is not broadcast exclusively on the NHK Network, but it is syndicated throughout Japan.

Not really one of those who can watch recent ones.. maybe by chance but, not really updated. I get to watch some that are already complete and perhaps after reading the manga that they come from like recently, I just finished watching Welcome to the N.H.K anime series after finishing the manga a couple of days earlier. Then, there are also those good anime shows that I have watched during my younger days that I want to watch all over again. A good title would be Romeo's Blue Skies Whatever catches my attention and able to watch, I guess, that would be me on how I watch anime. (^_^")

Romeo's Blue Skies - Romeo no Aoi Sora ("Romeo's Blue Skies") is a Japanese anime series by Nippon Animation. Although "Romeo's Blue Skies" is the literal translation of the Japanese title, the official English name given by Nippon Animation is "Romeo and the Black Brothers".

 - answers.com
Didn't like it? Maybe you can fancy watching it later on if you simply had nothing else to watch.. then again, we all have our own different preferences to begin with so, if it really doesn't suit to your liking, there's nothing wrong with that (^_^ ) Romeo's Blue Skies is about Romeo who bravely sells himself as a chimney sweep to get the money to pay for a doctor for his father. On the way to Milan he meets Alfredo, a mysterious boy on the run heading to the same fate. Upon being separated and sold to their new bosses, the two boys swear eternal friendship. Romeo has to learn the hardships of a chimney sweep's job. His boss' daughter, Angeletta, is a girl with a heart illness who is not allowed to leave her room. She asks Romeo to bring the blue sky to her. Alfredo unites the sweeps in a secret union, the "Black Brothers" to face together the "Wolf Pack" gang, who constantly attack them. With their help, Romeo succeeds in bringing Angeletta's dream to her. Soon the brotherhood faces more hardships than cruel bosses or street hooligans. Alfredo reveals his secret: he has sold himself in the name of his sister Bianca. It is now up to the "Black Brothers" to stand up for the truth, to save Bianca and to protect their leader's life with their own. - animenewsnetwork.com Really nice story from the novel (Die Schwarzen Brüder) written in 1941 in Switzerland by the Jewish author Kurt Held but published under the name of his wife Lisa Tetzner. - answers.com

Whoa, Romeo looks like a very complicated type of anime. On NHK, a lot of my friends like it. Maybe I need to watch the next few episodes. I stopped at episode 1. :)

Yea. Bleach 189 is the last episode of the filler arc. They just showed Bleach 190 this week. It's 15 minutes of recap but it's still much better than the filler. The new arc is very worth watching. You know what I mean if you read the manga.

I'm watching Bleach again. Just finished Ep 190. I didn't really follow the manga but to me Naruto seems to be better with plot and storyline. The story in bleach is quite normal and predictable. It's becoming a little bit like Dragonball with swords. As for Soul Eater, so far so good and I also just finished Nodame Paris Chapter. Very nice and funny. Nodame is cute as ever. :D D Gray Man finished? I thought it's only first season. The 2nd season is still going on, no?

Right now I'm following two anime series: gundam 00 and demon eyes kyo. I've loved demon eyes kyo since the first time I saw it in Philippine Tv but I wasn't able to follow it up that much. LUckily for me, there are torrents for it. Gundam 00 is a new series, and I've been following through it as well.

I am watching the Prince of Tennis which my sister just bought the DVD box set which collects all 178 episodes. I'm also interested in watching Gundam 00 Season 2 but I normally wait for the series to have an ending (at least an ending for the season) before I start watching it, so I'm actually still waiting for Gundam 00 to "end". Another anime on my waiting list would be Tsubasa which has two complete seasons and a few OVA's.

I'm watching Gundam 00 season 2. A friend of mine (who is a Gundam freak) said that it's not as good as Macross Frontier which has just ended not long ago. To me, it's still okay. Hahha, except the new Gundam 00 is a bit weird in design. :D

I quite like Gundam Seed even though it has its own shortcomings. And I personally feel Destiny is much worse than Seed. Gundam 00 to me, is quite okay. It feels much more balanced than Gundam Wing and Seed, before the introduction of TRANS-ARM.
• Malaysia
6 Nov 08
As far as I've watched, Gundam 00 is very similar to Gundam Wing but the plot and feel is darker. The soundtrack isn't quite my taste except for the 2nd opening "Ash like Snow" (I like this song). Perhaps I like Gundam Seed's soundtrack a lot, I can't help comparing and hoping that 00 would have better performance than Seed in terms of soundtrack...though I was quite disappointed. Thanks for the recommendation, when I have time I'll try Macross.

I just finished watching Fate/ Stay Night for the second time, something rather new and less famous among my favourites (Slam Dunk, Rurouni Kenshin, Hikaru no Go are all dated a many many years back. ^^) I wonder if you've watched it before, if you haven't it's something I liked a lot. Beautiful art work, outstanding characters, nice plot, great music. A fusion of tight battles (weapons + magic) some comedy. If I'm not mistaken it was released in 2006. If you are a fan of sword and magic, I'd recommend this one.

I've watched all the animes you mentioned there. :) They are very good animes and I learn how to play GO from Hikaru. Hahah. I don't really like Fate/Stay Night though, not as good as I was hoping it would be.
• Malaysia
26 Dec 08
Chess is very simple actually and the level of skill can be quite difference after a few minutes. Because you need to study all the moves and possible counters. For GO, the possibility is too big. That's why they cannot come out with another Deep Blue computer for GO, it's impossible. But that is also why it is interesting. Rather than using the skills of a particular piece, you need to see the game as a whole and see very very far ahead of your opponent.

My best friend and I was motivated to learn GO after we watched Hikaru no GO as well. ^^ But I'm not very good at it, don't quite see the picture on how to plan on GO strategies. Go was one of the board games that I believe to be a bit too complex for my mind eventhough I love similar chessic games like international chess and chinese chess. ^^

This season is fairly lame (with only three series I'm following premiering), but from Fall O8 Season I'm following: 1. Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler/Dark Butler) 2. Vampire Knight Guilty 3. Junjou Romantica S2 4. Tales of the Abyss (because my friend would eat my soul if I didn't... pretty slow though, imo) And I'm watching the following anime, even though I'm massively behind: 1. Soul Eater 2. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 3. Gintama 4. Persona ~ Trinity Soul ~ 5. Nabari no Ou

I just got my Trinity Blood frmo a friend. Yet to watch it. Watching Tenjou Tenge now...and i must say...it's a brainless fighting anime =_=

I stopped Nabari and Persona (due to license). I'm thinking to stop Tales of the Abyss as well. The story seems too slow and some of the action and animation are just weird. Might try kuroshitsuji.
• Canada
3 Nov 08
Nabari I was really sad that it ot lisenced... because all the fansubbers HAD to stop even though there were only a few episodes left. Trinity I actually have all of, but it got quite slow, so I've put it on hold for Code Geass S2. Kuroshitsuji is DEFINATELY worth downloading. Everyone's just so darned awesome :D

i have been watching one piece till date. it is one of the longest i ever followed. now is at episode 374. luffy against shadow eater morlie or something like that in this episode. i have also read the comics but i find watching more entertaining. i used to follow a lot of anime and comics but tone down a lot in recent years. the money i spend on them can be better utilised to support the family and also becuase i am able to watch them free online
