When I'm in a hurry and don't have time to cooked I always settled with canned goods. We always have stock of canned goods in our house. We have sardines, tuna, corned beef, pork and beans, liver spread, sausages, chili con carne, and more. My favorite canned food is chili con carne. I like the beans and beef in that chili sauce. Chili con carne (often known simply as chili) is a spicy stew made from chili peppers, meat, garlic, onions, and cumin. Traditional chili is made with chopped or ground beef. Variations, either geographic or by personal preference, may substitute different types of meat, and may also include tomatoes, beans, or other ingredients. The name "chili con carne" is a variation of the Spanish chile con carne, which means peppers with meat. Do you have any favorite canned foods? What is it? Thank you for sharing.. Have a nice day..

DID YOU JUST SAY "CHILI CON CARNE"? Suddenly, from the far reaches of the horizon, a cloud of smoke appears, heading towards warrior_777 at top speed, before screeching to a halt RIGHT in front of him. As the dust clears, the familiar figure of Saviour-V appears! I haven't had chili con carne in ages! Over 12-15 years, I figure. Mind passing me a tin? Saviour-V turns away from warrior_777, and speaks to the rest of his audience... Now, if you'll excuse that breach of Nettiquette, people, you'll now know that I do like chili con carne, but I haven't had the chance to eat the stuff for a very long time. At one point, when I was young, we went on holiday at a highlands resort in Malaysia, and Mum had some of that stuff pre-cooked beforehand. It was TERRIFIC! Saviour-V catches the tin of chili con carne that warrior_777 throws at him, and pulls out a loaf of bread and a jar of olives from his cape, after setting the tin on the floor, that is.... It's a pity that Mum hasn't been actively cooking that much off late. She can really whip up a storm when it counts. Saviour-V finishes the 4 chili-con-carne-and-olive sandwiches he's making, and consumes them in a record-breaking time of 2 minutes... Mmmmm....that's the stuff some dreams are made of. And to stay on topic, when it's available, canned tuna ends up on my list. Along with some mayonnaise and lemon juice, plus some butter, and some salt and pepper to produce Special Ration #5. Tastes pretty good on bread, really. And then, of course, there's corned beef, which would also be a firm favourite of mine, if it weren't for the nitrites and nitrates in it. Still tastes good, that. Nothing beats a warmed up corned beef sandwich during a rainstorm. Except for the tuna ones, that is. Anyway, thanks for the chili con carne, warrior_777. That was really good. Saviour-V bows to warrior_777, before activating his teleportation device and teleporting out afterward....

Ahmm, i like the SPAM brand. Each time I receive them I could finish the whole can but it's really not healthy. I seldom eat canned goods now because I got overfed of those stuff when I was still in college.

I like tinned (canned) tuna, which I mix with mayonnaise and cucumber and make into a sandwich. That's really delicious. Apart from that I like tinned soups. My favourites at the moment are lentil and vegetable soup or clam chowder. Tinned and chopped tomatoes are also really good for making pasta sauce, and I used to really like baked beans (great as part of a full English breakfast!), but I haven't bought them for a while as nobody else in my family likes them.

I love canned tuna. I used to eat it every day before when I was in college. But my mom made me stop because she said it's not healthy to eat canned food all the time. I like making tuna sandwiches or eating it alone. I also like canned beans. But I have to say that Libby's Vienna Sausage is the yummiest canned food ever! :)

My favorite food in a can - Pozole, can, favorite food
My favorite can food is pozole (spicy soup with chicken or pork, hominy, onions and spices) I love to eat it with tortilla chips and while other people add more onions, salsa and other things, I love to make it more spicy with hot sauce.

Hey warrior! Let's see now! I love chili! Some nice Campbells Roadside Chili or Sizzlin' Steak makes a nice meal with some break & spread for the coming winter months! Will have to stock up when the next sale comes! Also like to keep plenty of tuna in water around for sandwiches when I don't feel like cooking. I keep some canned round potatoes and corn and tomato sauce in the house to use when I make meat loaf or pot roast. But, the most important cans that I keep around are the ones that my kittys eat every day! Can't ever forget the canned kitty food!

We keep canned foods and I guess tomatoes are my favorite, I can make so many things with them. Even just tomatoes and rice can make a meal.

I usually eat tuna and sardines. But if it meat canned foods like sausages, corned beef and the likes. We prefer to cook it first rather than just eating it after opening the can. We also some veggies when we cook canned foods. It's more nutritious.

Manhatten is good, but nothing beats a creamy, delicious New England style chowda. I fight with my cholesterol too,so I would generally eat the Manhatten as well....Damn my LDL!

Canned food is supposed to be bad for our health no? But I seriously like them LOL My favourite canned food is sardines but good ones are getting pretty expensive and the cheap ones need extra ingredients and whatnots to make it platable. Then there's gabanzo beans! Or chickpeas, as it is known in the asia region. I love them boiled and salted and the canned versions isn't half bad when I am in a hurry for a snack. My absolute favourite are the canned peaches and exotic fruit cocktail. They make great fruit salad for dessert!
