what are your secrets for stain removal....

I've tried baking soda, non chlorine bleach, oxi clean... does anyone have any they use - home made ingredients? or just a really great one you usually buy at a store -- what are your secrets?

I found that the OXI clean is pretty good the stain gel kind, some of the old stains were almost totally removed too, I was very impressed with it and I think I will go get another gel stick after the one I'm using is finished.

I use cold water and it depends on what I am cleaning but Vinegar is a great one.I also use lemon to clean some things, I use toothpaste on brass, and silver.Hope these help and happy mylotting!
