I have seen many a child from well of families begin to steal. They have never been deprived of anything at home yet tehy start shop lifting or stealign things from people and soon get into makeing big thefts. What leads them to do this? don't tehy really care for their poor parents who have given them evErything?

Usually they have psychological or emotional needs that are not addressed by having everything.

I think that behavior such as compulsive stealing is usually a sign of some underlying problem. These kids might have their parents buying them everything they need, but there are often skeletons in the closet within wealthier families so outsiders often aren't getting the whole story.

Most things that people steal are not things they need. They steal things for the thrill you get wondering if you are going to get caught or not.
