It is what we did before our discussion gets posted.
Why do our post need tags or keywords, thus by entering multiple tags to our discussions, myLot earns from it, or just as what this site says, it helps our discussions to have more responses?
In my own knowledge, keywords are used by this so called bots or spiderbots to locate certain topics that was inserted in a search box, but I was thinking maybe as we insert tags this site earns from it. Well there's no reason for us to make this a big issue, cause they pay us as well for all our efforts to make this site a success. So I used to put more than 6 keywords and sometimes I go way beyond its limit which is ten tags per post.
So how many tags do you used to insert in your posts?

I used to put tags whenever I finish replying when I first started here but now rarely I put any tags. I agree that by putting tags it would be make thread/topic search simpler and faster for other Mylot users. If I create topic I would put 5 tags and yet meaningful so it can be found for Mylot users.

Hi friend,
I generally dont tag to the discussion of what i start.I use skip tag button,but the mylotters who responds to my discussion put a tag of their own interest.As i am a very lazy women i skip the tags in the discussion i start or respond.

You're right, they are useful for the search tool and also if you open any discussion and see other discussions under 'similar discussions', this is another use..I think of it as keywords used for indexing which would be useful for this huge database
Also that 'similar discussions' section helps people find discussions they can respond to and so would mean you'd get responses to your discussions
I tag where I can, for some discussions, I can't think of keywords so I just leave them but I tag all my discussions, some responses..

i insert 3 or four tags in my discussions.....firstly tags help other users to fetch your discussion or the discussion they are looking for ...when they enter the keyword in search box..my lot system searches for the tags related to tht eyword an displays the result containing the desired discussions matching the given keyword....
Tags are just like keywords which help mylot system to keep the records!!!

I have read from someone's blog before that tagging here in mylot is indeed very useful in many ways, as you have mentioned, tags help locate relevant topic when searched. Aside from it tags are helpful it enables one's started discussion to be go to the recent topics thus, enabling other mylotters to respond to the post thus generate responses and hopefull earns a cent or two, who knows with mylot's algorithm but it a sure thing that responses helps us a lot in our earnings here. I usually add two or three tags to someone I responded with but tags has to be concise and relevant to topic at hand.

I agree! thus tags really important in every posts or responses we make here in myLot. In other sites if you put irrelevant tags to your postings your account might be banned for you may be accused of spamming, so better that we put tags that really corresponds to our posts.
