be sure to include Carolina long grain rice and steamed broccoli. You must also include melted butter with 2 tbsp of lite olive oil (to help prevent burning) along with 7 crushed and chopped garlic cloves simmered for 5 min in a small pot with a pinch of Kosher salt. This is used as a topping for the sliced meat and whatever else you'd like. Enjoy and remember, garlic is a good thing! keep posting take care and have fun..

I love to have different kinds of food for dinner. I was thinking of chicken rice with honey roasted chicken and some salad. maybe you should try it. This recipe is my version of chicken rice. rice boil with chicken stock. Add in saffron, cashew nuts and raisins. You could add in some ginger and garlic if you like. For honey roasted chicken, you need a chicken. Marinate it with some shallots, garlic, ginger, honey and some pounded lemongrass. My son loves the rice so much. Give it a go and let me know how it goes.

chicken burgers with sweet potato fries ? that's what I'm making lol You can make spaghetti with meatballs... chili (it's chilly here), soup and sandwhich - that's such a cozy dinner.

The chicken burgers sounds good but it is very hot here so I the soup won't be a good think for me to cook. Thank for your suggestion and Happy Mylotting

I have to say that I am a huge fan of slowcookers. Takes so much effort out of making dinner. Granted that does still mean that you have to come up with something. Stew, Chili and Shepards pie are all my favorites for when it is starting to get cold out.

i usually sort of plan the meals one week at a time and shop accordingly to that end. this way i dont have to worry about whats for supper that night. my sister in law used to even write a month's list of meals for each day. i dont go to that extent, but i do have an idea for the week (it is subject to change ie if someone asks us out to dinner for some reason! :-)

How about breakfast, many times when I'm trying to figure out what to cook,my husband will say how about some bacon and eggs. Some times it is a refreshing change from the usuall same old thing. some biscuits and gravy with it too.

ptty_noel, Well, before I would suggest anything I think a lot of us or rather me, would really like to know your dieting habits. Are you a vegetarian? Meat person? Pasta? Western? Exotic orient? However, as I have checked your profile, I am guessing that you are a seafood fan. I just hope you may like this simple recipe of mine: Roast Chicken with Oregano and Lemon Ingredients: * 1 small or medium chicken washed and clean thoroughly * 1/2 a lemon (if you prefer less sour then reduce to 1/4) * 1 tablespoon of dried oregano * 1/2 tablespoon of salt * 1 1/2 tablespoon of soft butter or margarine (I like to use salted butter) Cooking Directions: * Spread the butter in the cavity and all over the chicken * Repeat with the dried oregano and salt * Place the lemon in the cavity and seal it with toothpicks * Set it aside and let it marinade for at least 45mins * Preheat oven to 180C * Place chicken in an oven proof dish * Add potatoes around the chicken (if you like) * Roast for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or till chicken is cooked and skin is golden brown & crispy * Bast the chicken with the sauce from the dish repeatedly (4 times minimum) * Remove the chicken and cover it loosely with a foil * Remove the excess oil from the sauce and use the sauce for dipping later * Return the potatoes into the oven and continue roasting till brown * Place the potatoes together with the chicken and serve Note: * If you are using a conventional oven, place a bowl of water when roasting, to preserve the moisture and tenderness of the chicken * Place a tent made of foil over the chicken if the chicken browns too fast I am just guessing that you might like this, please let me know otherwise. Take care and bon appettit.
