I am not sure about this, but, if you are familiar with the show highlander, I would not choose being immortal. Because, everyone will but you (as immortal) will not. And I can not comprehend the fact that I would be establishing ties with a mortal and later on that mortal will die. That would be like burying me alive.

Yeah It hink your right. But I was immortal, I would still choose to be with people rather than being alone. Even though you will outlive everyone. Thanks for the response

i think you have taken the meaning of the word in a materialistic way, and so are confused. YES. immortality is one thing, which you can achieve not bodily, and in this material earthly world, but through your good deeds.
OR even bad deeds. But, either GOOD or BAD, it should have a very very STRONG effect.
Like say, HITLER. can you ever, or for that matter, can anyone in this world, ever forget ADOLF HITLER, atleast for the next 200 years? ..
Or, Jesus Christ. .. EVEN if you are not from a CHRISTIAN society, can you just ignore CHRIST?
that is what immortality is all about. Then, there is no question about LIVING in this world for ever.
I wish to live over 149 years. That is my plan. lols.
Goodluck

Sounds like Twilight. Yeah, I do want to live forever, especially if I have finally found that one guy meant for me. Living forever won't be so lonely with a partner around. :)
