I have had a computer since last October. I was noticing that different things have been taking longer to come up. WHY is that? Is there anything I can do to help keep my computer in the best possible condition? Unfortunately, at this time I dont have the finances to employ a specialist to come in to give my computer a check up every now and then. Is there things I can do myself to enhance the quality and life of my computer? Could you share any tips on keeping my computer as good as new or at least at its best. Can you recommend any dos and donts for my computer in general? I would be very interested in hearing any secrets or helpful hints you have. Please help maintain my computer. I dont think I could live without her!!! LOL

It is easy to maintain them. Use the scan disk properly they will keep your system in a proper manner. Use a reliable antivirus, antispyware program to keep your system virus free.

ok here are my simple tips. 1) keep it away from dust - you can keep it covered by dust covers when not in use. 2) Keep it in a well ventilated room, or even a room with air conditioner or fan. 3) make sure the powere supply to the computer is according to the given specifications. 4) Do backup frequently. 5) shut it down and switch off power when not in use. 6) make sure you have installed an antivirus software. 7) scan removable storage devices with antivirus before using them on your machine. Those are simple tips for now.

Hi there! I am not so knowledgeable in computers but so far I have my computer working well. Try to delete histories and cookies always. Files tend to slow down computer uploading. It always works for me. Hope that helps. Ciao!
