Hi everyone. I just want to know your point of view in this joke I have heard. Will you agree with them or not? Which will you choose between a corrupt but very smart and intelligent judge...OR a very honest but grossly ignorant judge? Someone said he would go for the intelligent, corrupt judge because even if he is corrupt, all his judgements are correct and in keeping with the laws. How about you? What do you think?

The definition of corrupt would keep the judge from keeping the law. This would mean that he would make corrupt decisions not fair ones. Don't let the fact that he is intelligent make you think he would be fair. Intelligence and morality are not the same thing. Very evil people are often very smart.

Hi. It is just a joke. Whether they do exist or not, let us just pray that the justice that comes form above still prevails. One of my teachers' point is that he would go for the corrupt but intelligent judge. He explained that if the lawyer for the prosecution is smart and is confident with his defenses and if the counsel for the accused is also confident with his evidence, then no one among them will try to bribe the judge. Therefore, no matter how corrupt the judge is if no one will try or entice him to corrupt, then his being corrupt will have no space in the courtroom. Happy myLotting. Thank you for responding.
