I have been to St Lucia and there I saw the Piton Mountains and the cool rain forest. I really enjoyed spending time on the palm fringed beaches. The local people were friendly and the music was superb. In the future I would like to go to Tobago and Grenada. Which islands in the Caribbean have you visited? What were they like? Do you want to go to any of the islands of the Caribbean?

I just saw this old post of yours, Maxine. As you know, I have been to Aruba, St. Maarten and Kunayala (San Blas islands). Kunayala is a place almost untouched by the western world. The other islands are tourists places with resorts and clean sunny beaches.

Right now I'm tired and stressed out, so anywhere at all in the Caribbean would be just perfect! I love tropical islands - there is nothing else quite like swimming in crystal clear waters.

I have been to Aruba. It was decent. The people were nice but the city wasnt. The beaches were beautiful though. i loved being able to see my feet in the water rather then the gross greenish brown water of the Atlantic.

I have been to Aruba, CuraƧao, Tobago, Margarita and los Roques.. All of them are impressing and the warm caribean sea helps you to remember avery single visit as an adventure. Especialy if you dive with snorkel or bottle you can admire the beautiful colors of the corals and fisches that come out of their hidings to inspect you. Te most beautiful experience for me was Los Roques wich you can acces now by plain and stay in a hotel. It is a must to snorkel there. You will never see anything more beautiful than that. Inside the lagoons the water is not deeper than 4 meters and is very warm. When you dive outside the coral reefs the water turns a little colder and gets deeper very quickly. You can meet these coral reefs also along the Vebezuelan cost and i guess all over the caribean sea. I preferr to snorcle inside the lagoons where it is warm. The colors are very intense there and you can swim there for hours without getting cold.

Well, i have been to two Caribbean islands... Cuba and Jamaica... i worked in Cuba for two years... but was not really able to see the real Cuba... because i lived inside the US Naval Base... and we were not allowed to leave the place... Before going to Cuba... we had to stay in Jamaica for 24 hours... we stayed in the beautiful Morgan Hotel... i has this beautiful harbor with white sand... and delicious food... but i did not really enjoy the place because i slept the whole day since i was so tired from travelling...

I have been to Jamaica where the music, food and people are all great - there were nice beaches but, I found the beaches of Antigua nicer where the atmosphere wwas more laid back. Everyone was very friendly though and I would love to go back! I would also like to go to Trinidad and also the Bahamas. : )
