How do you feel about the quality of music compared to how it used to be? Do you think it is better or "gone to hell"? There are a lot of newer bands I have discovered and can say many of them I enjoy far more than some of those from my childhood. Also there was some music that was around since my own parents were children and I enjoyed that as well. Yes there are some new musicians that are horrible but the same goes for some of the older. You just have to dig through the trash.

I think it really depends on the music you used to listen to then and now, not all music in general. Like when I was younger I used to listen to all the pop music that would be kind of like the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers stuff of today. Now, at almost seventeen, my tastes have changed greatly. I still listen to a little bit of pop music, but now it's mostly alternative and rock. Back then it was all Radio Disney, and now it's Z100. I think as you get older, music seems better if you really pay atttention to music. Cupkitties, I know exactly what you mean about liking today's bands more than the bands you listened to at a younger age. When I listen to music and happen to find a song I used to love and end up listening to it for kicks, it doesn't do it for me anymore.

Exactly! I sometimes wonder to myself "Why did I like that band so much?" because when I listen now they sound so annoying. I also have noticed that since I have gotten older I've been leaning more towards softer Indie type of music lately. The stuff I used to enjoy so much just makes me feel kind of stressed.

i have notice that the music today is more on shouting. when i heard the past music the singer give more life to the song unlike now, it is more on instruments. sometimes i can say that even we dont have a voice quality we can make an album.

You're right there. These days all you gotta do is have "connections" like being a well known celebrity, having rich musician parents, etc. All the shouting/screaming music , I think is supposed to express the feeling of the artist er something like that. Though I wonder why some of them even bother to add lyrics if they can't make them understandable. I've gone and searched the songs for some of those types of bands and they had some really beautiful lyrics. Shame that they come out sounding like gibberish instead.

Hello cup kitties. I must say that music evolves just like our lives, even if we don't always like it. There are songs that I liked in the past but don't really fancy in the present, and there are songs in the present, that I really don't like. I also find songs to like as I have always done and will probably continue to do so in the future.

Music is music, it adapts to the times and gives people what they want to hear... Now some music takes certain tastes and is not that great to the majority, and then there is music that is very pleasing to many people. It was the same for past music, there are good songs and then there are bad songs, there are song better than some of today and there are some worse than songs of today. It all depends on the listener as well, but I think these statements are agreeable to just about anyone that listens to music, unless if you are stuck completely in the present or past hehe. Happy mylotting and have a great day or night!
