Have you made money with these sites?

I think the concept behind them is pretty good, they are cutting out the record companies and earning a bigger profit for artists & investors. They must be successful as quite a few artists are becoming successful from using them. I was just wondering how much the typical investor makes from these sites and how much their initial investment is.
