Hey there, I've noticed that often the english on here is stilted. That people can't seem to speak it fluently, even in type. Is it just me? I don't think it is, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else know what I mean? :)

that's because you are from the US and that's your primary language. let it be known that this forum has international members and don't expect them to be fluent in english language. so don't tell us that our proficiency is stilted at least we tried to learn english even if it's not our primary. in fact, the guidelines here aren't questioning those individual who are not fluent with it.

I'm sorry to offend you. I didn't mean to, but re-reading my message I can see how you'd take it that way. I meant, rather, that there seem to be more international members here than US ones. It's just interesting to me, that this site has not caught on to US members nearly as much yet.

don't worry, no offense taken, i'm just expressing what i thought you meant basing in your post. i'm an open minded person, nothing to worry at. if we are going to base the population by country then US has the highest members here and i think india is next and the philippines is third, if that never change yet since the last time i looked at it. but if we make comparison to those countries that english is the first language and compare it to those who are just it's second or third or forth then i believe there will be more members who don't speak or write fluent in english.

Yes, I've noticed that. However I realized that I've a few typos to my credit.

I am from Romania, and Romanian is a Latin-based language. I've learned English on my own, considering I had to learn French and Russian in school. That is why my English is not that good, especially on the grammatical level.

My mother tongue is Filipino and English is my secondary language. I hope that my english skill is not that bad to you. Should there be anything wrong in the grammar or in spelling perhaps, please dont hesitate correcting me. You do so, just be a little softer. Im willing to improve it.
