When were you last really hungover?

Blind Drunk - drunk

Last Wednesday it was my friend's birthday so we decided to go out for a nice quiet drink. Yeah ok, I know what you are thinking, there is no such thing, especially when you are celebrating! It was just the two of us as no-one else could make it out. Needless to say we were rather drunk by the time the pub shut. I couldn't tell you how many drinks we had but I do know one thing, it was too many!! My friend's eldest daughter was babysitting my boys and my friend's youngest daughter at my house and they were all in bed asleep when we eventually got back apart from the babysitter. My friend took her daughter and walked home as they only live around the corner. The next day I felt really rough but somehow still managed to get 4 kids up, dressed, fed, washed and into school well in time. I then went back to bed, slept it off and then felt much better. I know this was a really irresponsible act that I would never entertain the thought of doing on a school night but I am a single mum and very rarely get the chance to go out anywhere, any night. It sure did give the other mums at the school a good laugh at my expense though! When did you get really drunk last? How irresponsible were you? How mean was your hangover?

I AM NOT PROUD OF WHAT I AM ABOUT TO WRITE! Several years ago I went out after work with some friends for a "drink". Well we drank and we didn't eat. We went to a pub in London where a lot of student doctors hung out. We became very raucous and were almost certainly a blooming nuisance. Sitting on a stool at a table nest to me, with her back to me was a young lady holding a white coat. Probably a student doctor. She was wearing a summer dress with a zip down the back. My friend looked at her, then at me and raised his eyebrows. I leaned over and unzipped her dress! Did she notice? You bet she did!! We left very quickly after that. I've always been quite ashamed of myself that night. Now I've told the World and suddenly I feel a whole lot better. You may kick me now!

Oh, I had the mother of all hangovers. I don't recall drinking quite so hard since. But there have been some close run times! The next one will be in Devon with some myLotters probably. LOL.

I am ashamed Humbug. But confession is good for the soul or something.

Crikey p1key I wasn't looking for a confession!! That was rather naughty though and you should be dreadfully ashamed. Thanks for sharing your story, only you would have such a one!

I drink quite heavily every weekend but can't say hangovers really affect me too much i'm fairly lucky in that respect. The only problem I have is that I seem to stay drunk the morning after. Numerous times I have been down the gym the morning after to try an make amense to my body after all I put it through the night before on to wobble and fall off the machines because i'm still drunk. The last time I remember being really really bad was about a month ago. A guy I knew from work came out for night out with me and my mates. He wouldn't stop buying me drinks all night. Everytime I went to the toilet I came back and he had shots lined all along the bar for me. Felt ill for a good few hours after that night and can safely safe the gym was a definate no no that day.

mm last time i was really drunk was about 2 weeks ago. as usual it started with a friend who suggested that we should do some light drinking then 1 bottle becomes 4 and 4 becomes 8 then you lost count when you go beyond 8 bottles.but just when you thought that the session is over another one of your friend arrives and will want to drink so you have no choice but to drink some more. when i finally got home i wasn't able to go to bed immediately cause i was afraid i am gonna vomit if i lie down.

Hi there hotshoes5000 That is the worst feeling isn't it when you are so tired you want to lie down and shut your eyes but the minute you do your head starts to spin and stomach starts to churn. It's a bad way to be in!! Thanks for your response

Hey there! I like this discussion. You know, I don't want to brag but I had never been drunk in my entire drinking life. So, there is no hungover. I mean hungover only results from being too drunk the night before, right? So here's the catch: I drink but I don't feel being really drunk. Like my friends were all down and blurbing words I can't understand, some puke because of being too drunk! But, brace yourself, I can still manage to stand, walk and go home. Well, i don't know. it must be talent? Hehe.. Or am I immune to hard drinks? So in the mornings, there is really no hungover. And the worst is only a slight headache.

Hi there calyxus and welcome to myLot It sounds like you are very sensible to me and you know when to stop. A friend once told me not to drink when I am drunk but the problem is that I am drunk before I realise that I am LOL Thank you for your response

Hey, you can say that again... i mean the sensible thing. haha! you know i never known that i sound sensible at times. And you were the first to say that! anyhow, for you, you have to know the exact moment when you start feeling dizzy. Because that's the start of being drunk. Another advice, if you had already, say 3 shots, test yourself, stand for a while or go to the comfort room. If you can still manage to stand, then maybe you can still go for a glass or two.

The last time I was really drunk was probably a year ago. I was partying with a couple of friends I met in college one of which is now my husband. I don't know why we decided to drink especially me since I had to work in the morning but I did. We were drinking 99 bananas and I don't think I have ever been so drunk. It was so bad that the next morning I was still feeling a little dizzy and still drunk. I didn't think I would make it through the day so I called in sick to work. After I slept for awhile I felt so sick and I had the worst headache. That was a year ago so I guess I learned my lesson.
