How has the recession affected you?

The recession has affected my life so rough that it's almost brinking insanity lol. No seriously my husbands job laid him off, so now we are completely relying on my income. WHICH is not that much because I am a full time college student and i have to find ways on the net to work so that my family can make it. My husband has put his application into many jobs, and hasn't gotten hired. We have been paying what we can pay from what we had saved back, but now have spent what we have saved back on the bills that needed to be paid. It is in the middle of October, and we can't afford to get our heat turned on. We are struggling very badly. We have reached out for help from many local agencies, however, they can't help anyone else because so many people are in need this winter that it has taken all of their money. We have bought little Kerosine heaters and electric heaters for our home, to try to keep it at least a little warm in here, but here it has became like 45 degrees, and they are proving not to work the best. We have sold our dvd's, car stereo system, and we are in the process of trying to sell our car just to make bills. The next option is for me to drop out of college just to help support my famiy by getting a job in the nursing home. It has hit our family very hard, and have tried everything. yes. it has definitely hit me. my business back home is affected badly as it is in a F & B outlet. i have lesser sales each day. people tend to stay away from spending unnecessary. my in-law business also affected as they have a karaoke outlet and she also see lesser cunstomers recently. our expenses also went up in the past few months. the prices of groceries esp. vegetables and meats went up by as much as 30%. it is getting tighter but we can still cope. let hope life would normalise after a while when the fear subsided and people start their spending again. but i guess it would take some time and even if they spend, it would not like b4 but at leat better than none

I pre-order my food, so it hasn't affected me at all.
