Designing the Corporate Christmas Card

I have just started coming up ideas for the company holiday card - my least favorite project of the year. It is very difficult to try and stay neutral - that is - no religion, no christmas imagery, etc. Last year was easy - we used an ice fisherman photo since our retiring CEO was into ice fishing. Now I am back to snowflakes, plants or snow. Most of my first cards were rejected, even though I thought they were good. It is back to the drawing board for me. I can design cards all day long that will work fine, but not for the corporate world! Anyone else struggle with this?
