Its easy to have an indoor herb garden. You can dehydrate herbs and store frsh herbs for all of your cooking. Have fresh herbs all year round. You can buy a set of new gardening pots for your herbs, but it isn’t necessary. Indoor herbs will grow just as well in many spare containers you'll find laying around your home. The important part of selecting containers for your herbs will be to make sure the container has proper drainage. Proper soil is another crucial part of growing indoor plants. Mix potting soil with sand and a small amount of lime to give your herbs the best soil conditions for growth. Before adding soil to your container, layer the bottom with gravel to ensure suitable drainage. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/growingherbsindoors

I would love to have the space to have an indoor herb garden. I have indoor plants taking up all my available space and just a few with herbs in them. I sowed some tomatoe seeds just a few weeks ago, and even though these should have been planted last March, they are beginning to sprout. I guess they must like the heat in the house. I also have some parsley, chives, thyme and some basil. These are about all the herbs I would use when cooking so it would be pointless growing any more.

I have not had one. I am especialy interested in mint. Have you ever grown any? I like it in tea. I am also going to plant some other things too. Appreciate your response.
