for married and engaged beings: how did the engagement go?

I just learned through facebook that my cousin has proposed to his girlfriend. Based on the photos, the involved were their car racing friends. In a car racing venue, there was a tent where petals were all over the floor, the girl (his gf) did not expect that my cousin would do the bended knees thing and their friends cheered for them. The photos evidently showed the emotions of both couples and friends. My cousin named this particular album as of age and engaged. Well, he's already 32, so I guess, he definitely is of age. For the couples out there, how did your engagement go? I mean, can you describe the venue and the feeling while you were proposing or while you were hearing the proposal.

my husband and i were on holiday and i was pregnant with our second child. we had been to a gold centre that day and i had saw a ring i like had it not been in yellow gold we bought a couple of silver rings and had a look round. that night he said he was going to check the entertainmnet board so i had a lie down, later on we were in the entertaninment area and he went to get a drink.....the next thing i knew there he was on stage microphone in hand and proposing to me on one knee, everyone was looking and im really shy lol ive never gone so red but the ring i had so he had asked the guys in the gold centre and had them make an original ring with the same style of the ring i had loved but got it made in white gold. it was beautiful and romantic

Gosh! Speaking of romantic, that is something wonderful. Hehehe! At first I might get shy by the fact that he's on the microphone proposing, but really, as I visualize what you just posted, the act is one moment that can be immortalized.

awwww! how sweet! I am not engaged yet but I hope to be one, soon! I sometimes watch the show "I Propose" (Lifestyle Network during Thursdays) and I find each proposal unique, some are simple while some are extravagant.
