Pop hires cheap labor

One of the summer projects was for my husband to rebuild our shed. Our four year old grandson spends each weekend with us and was more than eager to assist Pop. He loves being around Pop and was thrilled at the chance to actually be helping. My husband showed him how to pull nails out of the boards. We believed he would only be able to do so with assistance but he is a natural. In no time he was pulling out more nails than my husband. Once all the hard work was done there was the task of painting. Figured this was going to get very messy, My husband cut the legs off an old pair of Jr's jeans and sans shirt he was sent to paint the back side of the shed. He is a fast learner and a great worker. He barely even got any paint on himself. What a great experience for him!

That must have been a joy to watch as well. I hope you got pictures. I have a photo I love of my son at about that age, helping his dad with the shed. He is sitting up on a sawhorse, such a pretty boy, right next to, and reflecting the position of his dad. Your grandson will value being able to work when he is older. I bet that was a great day.
