Cat dandruff

The new cat I have seems to have dandruff on her back. I've tried brushing it which has removed some of it. Does anyone know what will work to get rid of it? I'm hoping that it doesn't bother my allergies as cat dander does.

olive oil works, but i try to suppliment their diet when they have real bad dandruff it can mean not just weather but a possible vitamin deficiency. try giving her a little bit of scrambled egg in her food also-that usually works well with my cats.

I agree Olive Oil works wonders with most animals. I always give my dog Olive oil and he has a beautiful coat, it is also good for the heart as well.

Her skin is probably just dry. Could just be the weather. Try adding a little olive oil to her food once a day (just half a teaspoon at most). Once the problem clears up, cut back to once or twice a week until your sure her sin is better. A good quality food will also help with this.
