Game development?

Hey there, game developers! Firstly, I'm someone who has absolutely zero experience with such things, so I am hoping to get helpful information about how to easily develop games, free good tools to help, etc, even if just for really simple games. Any ideas?

Have you ever tried RPG Maker VX? It's quite easy if you read how it works. Search for it and you'll wont regret...

As far as software goes, pick up a good IDE (integrated development environment) like Eclipse or Java, and a C++ compiler. Havok also released its entire physics software suite for games free for non-commercial stuff.
