ok so i posted a conversation a while ago about gay right and many people did not understand what i meant i think it was becouse of how i said the things i did! well i wanna clear everything.....ok so heres what i think i dont think anyone should be descriminated for any reason. i dont think its right to teaching kids that being gay is so common and normal and a simplpe decision to make because its not! and like i said before i have family members and really close friendes who are gay i dont treat them any diffrent i love them all the same! i say forget the marriage license just dont give them out any more to anyone i mean back in the day they didnt give marriage licenses and everything was fine! just be with the person you love and thats it! im not against gays or agree with their life style i just wanted other peoples opinions about this delicate issue!

Being gay is not a decision...period. Gay people are born with their attractions and the only decision is whether to be themselves or to hide. Hiding is more detrimental, in my opinion, and from someone who has been married to a gay man, this is a horrid thing to go through. Marraige liscenses have been issued since the middle ages since marraige was a legal contract and still is. Without the legal paper, the rights are not valid. I would more recommend as another user recommended, making all marraige, legal civil union and then if the couple, gay or straight wanted to take it to church, it could be called a marraige. My last thing on this discussion, for now, is do you have a lifestyle??? I take it you are hetero. Is your life a lifestyle????

well the first thing I'm going to say is i don't believe anyone can be born gay or lesbian or straight! when your a little kid you don't like girls or boys you think their gross then when you get older you start liking boys or girls! and yes I'm hetero and i do consider it my lifestyle this is how i chose to live my life! i dont mean to offend anyone!!! im a somewhat religious person and i believe that god is perfect and every thing hes done is for a reason! I'm not one to judge and true god doesn't judge but he will when the time comes! well that's it i hope you don't get all offended or defensive on me!;]

We don't choose who we are attracted to. I didn't just decide to be attracted to men. It's something inside of me. Likewise with gay people. They don't choose the gender they are attracted to. It just is. There have been studies showing that the brain patterns of gay men are similar to that of straight women. There are studies showing that gay men react to the pheromones of men in the same way that straight women do. They are biologically different from their heterosexual counterparts. For the record, I don't consider my sexuality a lifestyle. Heterosexual is a small part of what makes me me. Homosexual is a small part of what makes them them. But it is that part that is keeping them from attaining equal rights.

First off, I don't think people decide to be gay any more then people decide to be heterosexual. Next, they want to be recognized as a 'couple' not just for social reasons, but for legal reasons - IE Medical benefits given by an employer. ANd no, things were not fine before when they did not give out marriage licenses to gays. Back many years ago - well not that many, many gays were in the closet and kept it a secret from friends and family. I think it is better for people to be open and honest with each other and the government and everyone must recognize this

thanks for your opinion! and just to clear something up i meant not to give out marriage license to anyone gay or straight or whatever you are! i think it would just make everything simpler that's my opinion!
