Any teachers in the Houston area?

I am wanting to get my certification in the Houston, Spring and Conroe area. I have been given letters of approval to start looking for jobs in the Journalism and Family and Consumer Science (Interior Design, Cooking, etc.) area. I know these subjects are not much in demand. Any suggestions for finding employment in these areas?
