And having none to much luck. My fiance and I are looking for The Settlers by Vilhelm Moberg. It's not that the content is hard to find, it's a specific cover we are looking for that is harder to find. My fiance and I are looking for the book with a yellow cover and a red background where the title is. We've asked for this specific one. We've even called the publishing company and they said, in maybe a bit better of wording, that there not going to tear open a thousand boxes just to find the one we want. I personally think no one will do that, but I also think someone has to have the one we want. We're not interested in ebay so please don't suggest that.

I know what you mean baby,we are having no luck when it comes to finding the book The Settlers by Vilhelm Moberg, and yeah the book itself is not hard to find on the contrary it is easy to find, but the problem is finding a specific copy of the book which has a yellow background with a red box where the title is and the title is in yellow letters, and yeah we called the publishing company and they basically said they would not open thousands of boxes just to help us,and someone has to have the copy we are looking for,and I agree we do not like ebay because we do not trust it,and what still confuses me is the fact that they made two reprints of the book in 1995 and they were both from the same publisher, which is kind of silly and foolish if you ask me,I love you.

Hi SomeCowgirl. Sometimes going to the publishing company is going too far. In alot of cases, it would be better to call the retailers in your area. There are much fewer books for them to look thru and some stores are willing to check their shelves. Anytime my daughter is looking for a specific book, I wind up calling at least a few bookstores in my area to see if they have the specific one she's looking for. Needless to say, since there is a Half Priced Books store in the area, they are always on my call list. The last book we were looking for, they came back with the information on pricing as well as the fact that there were 2 different sized books in stock, in case she wanted to match her existing collection. (Book 4 out of 7) I did find the cover you were looking for on Amazon and they seem to have a small collection in stock, but I don't see any way to select which of the 3 covers they have available for this book. Maybe knowing that there are a few different covers available will help the store employee find what you are looking for. I use anywho.com to look for a specific type of store since they also provide a phone number and mapping with their matches. Maybe you can find a book store or used book store in your area willing to check their shelves. Best of Luck in your search.

You just reminded me of a bookstore that has always been friendly to us and yet I overlooked them. I appreciate that! I'll have to call them tomorrow if I can't get through tonight and see if they have it, I appreciate the idea! I am so glad that you have one in your area, that is so concerned to even make sure it's the same collection! All the places I've tried are just not that helpful, whether they just can't be as their inventory is so vast, or whether they just don't want to! Again I am so appreciative!
