Ok, My boyfriend and I do not have a regular schedule, we go to sleep at around 3-5 in the morning and he gets up at 2 pm to get ready for work. So we get basically the same amount of sleep as anyone else. But today, we went to bed at 5 and I woke up at like 10 or 11 and couldn't go back to sleep. Then, at about 2 I layed down for a nap, expecting to wake up at like 3 or 4, but it is now 11 pm and I just woke up! What is up with that? Why do I sleep so much? I do this often when I take a nap, I don't get up when my alarm goes off.

I know I love to sleep a lot especially on the weekends when thats when I sleep the most it seems nothing can go wrong when you sleep unless if you have a nightmare and all your troubles go away. I do love to sleep and I probally do it more then most people lol.

Has your doctor checked you for anemia? That's always a possibility with excessive tiredness.

You know I haven't thought about that. I've been checked in the past, but its been a while and I know that I haven't been eating regularly and getting everything that I need.

Your body could be really tired from not being on a consistent schedule? I know if I get up too early, I will end up feeling it later in the day or if I go to bed to late, I will sleep to nearly ten o clock in the morning. My fiancee, if he doesn't get to bed on time, will not end up hearing his alarm and run late for work sometimes. I would check with a doctor to make sure you don't have a sleep condition. A couple of members in my family have sleep apnea and have to use a sleep machine to regulate their sleep. I am thinking of looking into that too when I get medical insurance again.
