Do you have any cure for sandflies?

I went for an outing trip and came back with a few bites, which my friends told me that it was sandflies. I find them very itchy and irritating. They also produce a similar effect to mosquito bites. There is also a myth about that insect repellent causes sand flies. To what extent is this true? I would also like to ask how do I prevent getting bitten from them again and how to reduce the itch from them at the moment.

Take vitamin B6. They hate the smell of it and will not bite you. I went to Turkey and my mum had told me and the children to take them a few days before we set off. We never got one mosquito bite. They make you sweat the smell of vitamin B6 but it is worth it. Check them out. I can only say the itch is awful with a bite, try calimine lotion and I do not think repellents attract flies. I have never heard this. No I just checked it out there, the repellent does not stop them swarming around you, just from biting you. Things that attract them are soaps, hairproducts and scent.
