I feel sad and concern about the baby in my womb. I don't want my baby to be affected by what I feel. Have you experience the same of know someone who experience this?

I also had cough from 3-5 months of pregnancy of my first baby. Don't worry it wouldn't affect the baby in your womb. Now in my second pregnancy I have cough in my 8 months pregnancy but doctor gave me a medicine that would not affect the baby. God will protect our babies. I believe for sure it would not affect your baby my first daughter is now 1 yr & 7 mos. She is intelligent and energetic. Don't worry and don't think too much. Enjoy being pregnant and God Bless.

You shouldn't have to worry about the cough. It shouldn't affect the baby at all. If you were really sick to where it was making you weak and unable to do things you should go see the doctor cuz it could put stress on the baby and yourself. But for a just a common cold. Don't worry to much. You will be fine.. Is this your first baby?

I also cough when I was 3 to 5 months pregnant. And sometimes it even makes me vomit more than usual. And I hate the feeling of it. I am worried that my baby could be affected and I don't want to take any medicines. What I do, when I wake up in the morning I drink Hot Calamansi juice or Orange juice. Then I always have a bottle or a glass of water in my room so whenever I feel like coughing I will immediately drink water to prevent my coughing. Even at night I cough.

If you only cough it does not affect the baby inside. I do experienced that before and then the doctor said the baby is ok inside. Just keep drinking lots of fluids and oranges so you'll get better.

The coughing itself shouldn't hurt the baby as long as it's not like, shaking your body uncontrollably or making you throw up. There are some cough medicines that are safe to take during pregnancy. Have you talked to the doctor about this? Well, also I believe you can take some cough drops. The important thing is to drink alot of water, it will keep the mucus thinned out and should help reduce the amount of the coughing. I would go see what the doctor reccommends taking if anything and rest assured that the baby is most likly safe tucked away in your belly. It actually probably feels like your rocking it to sleep when your coughing because it's buried so far in that things feel very light that feel like alot to us.
