Web Based Chat vs Desk Top Application

I came across an application that I can use online to chat with anyone anywhere using either of my online instant messaging platforms. This includes Aim, Yahoo, Google Talk and MSN. I find this real handy since I am hesitant to download and install instant messengers onto my laptop due to previous bugs and other problems. Most features still work. Overall i am happy with it. The application is called Meebo, available at http://www.meebo.com. have you heard of this and if so, do you use it? What do you think of it? Would you rather use a web based chat application rather than an instant messenger downloaded and installed? For what reason(s)?

I know about meebo. But it not that much worthy as you can't use all the features. yahoo is providing its own web messenger. When it comes to others also, try the desktop applications where you can get more features like video conference, voice chat. Thank You. Your PC could be a cash machine. Look at my profile to know how.

Thank you for your response. I have tries the desk top apps and do find that meembo lacks in certain features. I enjoy the convenience of meebo however. Say if I am at an internet cafe.
