My first snorkeling experience... I want to be a fisheee..!!!^_^

My first snorkelling experience - Here's a picture of me (that's me with the orange snorkel) and my friends when we went snorkeling last weekend. Unfortunately we didn't have any water proof cam so we couldn't take pictures under the sea, but in this picture you can clearly see the yellow and black fishes that surrounded us, just imagine how many more fishes there were under. LOL.

Hello mylotters! Last weekend my friends and I went on one of our monthly roadtrips and we ended up going to the Beach in the province of Anilao Batangas (Philippines). It was really great to take a break from our stressful jobs in the city and just relax for at least two days. On our second day at the beach resort we took a boat trip to the next island and there we went snorkeling amidts all the pretty little fishes in the sea. I was really excited 'cause it was my first time ever. It was really fun feeding the fishes it was like being in a big aquarium where you could directly interact with them. At first there were small fishes feeding on the bread then all of a sudden a big school of colorful parrot fish were snatching the bread from our hands, I was really afraid my fingers would be chomped off. LOL. I really enjoyed snorkeling, feeding the fishes, looking at colorful corals and appreciating how beautiful and peaceful it is under the sea. We will definitely try it again on our next roadtrip/boat trip. How about you have you ever snorkeled? How was it? Would you do it again?

Hi there poisonivy27! I have gone snorkeling several times already. It's really one of those things that I enjoy doing when traveling especially to places blessed with good beaches. The view under the sea is really very awesome! Snorkeling in the crystal blue water and watching a multitude of colorful tropical fishes playfully pass before your very eyes! You should try going to other beaches here in the Philippines. The best places to snorkel are at Moalboal in Cebu; Hundred Islands in Pangasinan; Bacuit Bay, El Nido, Miniloc Island and Taytay Bay in Palawan; Samal Island in Davao; and in any of the beaches in Bohol.

I first discovered the delight of snorkeling when I was 20 years old and I was traveling around the world. I went on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef in tropical Australia. I saw the colorful and beautiful reef and all the friendly fish. Wow! I found an underwater paradise and loved exploring it. When I was 28 years old I went to Western Australia and snorkeled the reef there. It was amazing to see a manta ray and a turtle as well as all the usual splendor. In my thirties I have snorkeled off the coast of Belize with nurse sharks and sting rays. I so look forward to the next time I go snorkeling in a tropical location. One day I would love to go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines. Yes, I will do snorkeling again and again. I have my own snorkeling mask but I don't bother with flippers. Snorkeling is free or cheap and diving is cheap to expensive. I haven't learned to dive but I imagine it is a fantastic activity to discover. I will probably just stick with doing wonderful snorkeling.

Hi maximax!! Wow!!! you're really lucky to have had snorkeled at all those beautiful places, and even luckier 'cause at a young age of 20 you were able to travel around the world. I wish I could travel around the world too, but that requires a lot of money. For now I'll just try to discover my country first. Thanks for sharing your snorkeling experiences, Im just so thrilled to widden mine 'cause I was only able to see fishes. Hey, You should definitely come here on your next trip we have beautiful beaches here, Im sure you are going to enjoy exploring the wonders of our seas!! ^_^
