Secular according to Americans is 'No Religion'. Secularism according to Indians is 'Equality to all religions'. Recently or earlier too I had seen a lot of religion dragged into the Indian politics. I am strongly against religion dragged into politics. Instead it should be a private affair. What do you think? Is religion dragged into politics in your country? By 'dragged' I mean that whether politicians use religious issues for political gains. Also share with me your view of secularism.

Yes,why not ? A true religion is a unique divine light for all the spheres of life including politics. We should not restrict our religions to churches, mosques and mandars. You can see the bad results of separating the church from the state. The western parliaments are passing laws to allow big sins to their people. You can see their over all moral plight. In USA,a rape is being done after every 4 minutes and murder after every 22 minutes..........See the drastic results yourself !!

In America, there is a phrase - "separation of church and state" and this should always be read and considered. But; sadly, America is the melting pot that has become a mixed group of people demanding their own rights and having no such thing as honesty apparent in politics. NAW, don't mix the two of them. Let's just kick everyone out of office that we catch using lobbyist or any foul means to gain anything. OOPS, that will mean shutting down DC for quite a while...
