Do you think video games of all types give more benefit or loss on our side?

I've led a pretty plain childhood, and i grew up with perfection in mind;no physical, mental,spiritual and all sorts of handicaps. No lust, live up to my parents' expectations and my dreams. But as i matured i found out, as would many of us, that the world is,most of the time,not how we see it. I got addicted to gaming, and now i got a -5.00 on my eyes and im just a teen. experts say that it will worsen naturally with age. but i can't totally deny that gaming has no benefits. for one, i am also a strategist, and i enjoy any competition of the mind, primarily chess, and playing strategy games help me improve my skills.
so what do you think?
PS:any tips on forming a discussion(format,content,etc) would be greatly appreciated thx

It gave me more benefit. For a long time I got -0.25 -0.25 vision while playing video games. And I've became a better guy when it comes to strategies. I love playing Tactics and RPG games, so it made me a little bit better at thinking. I may not be the fast thinker, but I can think in a pressured environment.
So far, other than being a slacker, no other loss. I'm actually better at exams even after not reviewing and just playing all night. Really. There's also a matter of divine intervention, but since not all people believe in God nor luck, that proves that videogames help people think. Heehee.

yes, i also experienced the same benefits and loss you experienced, but what do you mean by divine intervention?

With the exams...You know, a Divine being intervening with stuffs, making you succeed at stuffs that are rather not achievable or hard to achieve, such as praying to God to pass the exams and you passed, things like that. With the games there's no divine intervention though.
