what truely is a good friend?

well people i find myself at a crossroad, i've recently lost a good friend, a person i was friends with since i was a child, i never saw it comingbut in the end it did happen, and honestly it was over him showing off to a girl, i find myself at a loss and a gain, loss for losing such a good friend, but a plus because it's only making me stronger going through it, i know in my heart a good friend is someone who listens, is there for you, if you have something or not, something you never feel endebted to, but you repay even the slightest thing anyway, and i was wondering if anyone else out there has lost a good friend lately, and why?
