Why is it so hard to succeed in life?

Okay, it seems no matter what I do, no matter how successful I am in my career, no matter how much money I make, I can never get ahead. I don't mean to sound like I am complaining, for I know that I have a great job and make a good income, but it's just frustrating to me that we still have such a hard time saving and we're always kind of just "scraping by". Part of it is that I know we don't live to a strict budget, but I can also say that we don't spend excessive amounts of money either. How do you fare in this world of ours? What is your family economy doing these days? Is it possible that my issues are a reflection not of any personal shortcomings but just the general expensive life that we all lead because of an economy that is growing faster than any of us can manage to keep up with? I just can't get ahead, no matter what I do, and I am to the point where I am angry at life in general because the struggle is so hard and the rewards are so few.

There is an old (kind of) comical old expression where I come from: "There was never that it wasn't at all" (very loose translation) meaning: There will always be enough so you don't starve... ;))

to succeed is to strive. To become a successful person, one must do his best and work hard for it to gain the fruit of succession. I believe that if a person asks this kind of question, he/she needs to put more effort to really succeed in his life.

No, it's not just you. I hate going to the mail box, because it seem as if everytime I think we might have alittle extra money, theres another bill to pay. I am a graphic designer and work is very hard to come by for me. Living in a reaul area the pay for a graphic designer isn't much more then min. wage. And with the economics the way it is right now, companys are cutting back.. My husband said one day.."if he was a woman, he would be a hooker"...I just told him..Please!! they would just want a refund...And that would be more money going out....LOL Maybe someday soon things will get better...
