I'm the type of person who likes having get-together with friends and family. Weekend lunch, dinner, or movies would do just as long as we spend time together to catch up after not seeing each other for several weeks, months or even years. Oh, and it's not just any friends and family members, it's the CLOSE friends and family members. I don't feel too comfortable having those family reunions where I get to see unfamiliar faces, talk to unfamiliar people and smile and laugh and talk like we know everything about each other although it's nice to also meet your other relatives, I'm just not into those meet and greet type of get together. So anyway, the most recent get-together I've attended was that of my grade school friends. After 9 years of not seeing and talking to one another we made a plan of having a little reunion for our batch. I don't know exactly what has gotten into us but all I remember was that we were already sending messages to each other, forwarding each others' numbers and planning this whole dinner/drinking session. The planning was exciting. I was excited to see my old friends, talk to them, reminisce about the good old days and rekindle our friendship. Hello, we've known each other for 4 some even 6 years and we've been friends since 4th grade-6th grade. We've had our ups and downs and crazy moments. We planned our first get-together last October 18 and then the second one was last October 24. When October 18 came, my excitement turned into nervousness, I got anxious thinking about how would everybody look like and would I still recognize them. Luckily, I did.Everything turned out fun even though there were only 15 of us who came, we were supposed to be 20+ in our group of friends but still, reminiscing and laughing and the whole night went great. How about you guys, when was the last time you kept in touch with your grade school, high school or college friends? Or your family members? How long has it been since you last saw each other? Was it fun having to catch up again?

I'm more of the "sociable" one especially when I'm in the mood. I usually get on a natural high.

Wow, that's a pretty good idea, to get together with old friends. Thanks to myspace and facebook, I still occassionally talk to the people I was friends with in grade school, but we never get together. Sometimes I see them out somewhere. But planning a dinner together sounds really awesome. If you were friends then, obviously you are able to get along and have some thing or another in common.

Those social networking sites are really a big help to keep in touch with our long lost friends and family members. You should also try having dinner or lunch with your old friends. Even if you're just 3 or 5 or 10 it wouldn't matter. It would be so fun talking about the past catching up about your present lives and rekindling your friendship.

lol =D YEah, i hated those fmaily gathering especially with relatives, because they will tend to boost or compared.. hehe ^_^ And so, actually i dread going to wedding dinners all that, because it's joy for them and hell for me.. lol Just recently on 16th october, i too just had a gathering with my college frenz in a chinese resturant.. Though it was supposed to have 10 ple, only 8 turned up.. But still it was a fun experience, learning about their life about graduating, and it was from the gathering that i had lotsa of surprises.. lol =D NOw after this college gathering, i'm planning an overseas trip together with my army buddies, hopefully in feb next yr.. lol

I do like keeping in touch especially when it comes to family members and mine and my fiances friends, even though we do not see most of the family except for at Christmas time, and we only see our friends every once in a while because we all have very busy lives, the only one we see on a regular basis is my brother because he comes to visit on his days off,and we are starting to see two of our other friends more often too.

not lately because my old friends are in different city and we're not that close anyway but they're classmates back in college. some of my friends are now gone to the bigger city to work. I've been busy myself with my work so no time for text messaging or any form of chatting. sometimes we do chat during my rest days.
