In the Fall of 61' the US government was at the height of it's experiments into "Rainbow herbicides", in particular one that was codenamed 'Agent Orange'. Covert experiments were conducted on death row 'volunteers' who had not been fully informed to the nature of the tests. One of these men was Hal Willis, 34 years of age and due to go to the electric chair for the murder of his wife, grandmother and two children. Willis had pleaded insanity, claiming to be possessed by the devil. The court threw out his plea and Judge Smith-brown found him guilty on all counts. Willis was dragged from the court room spitting phlegm and obscenities at the judge and swearing revenge on the judge and all who beared his name. Willis survived nearly a year of Agent Orange testing and while others grew weak and died, Willis grew stronger and started to radiate fear among the prison staff. In February of 1962 Warden Ben Smith was found murdered at his work station. Smiths' eyes were transfixed in a wide stare, his lower jaw dislocated and his hands clawing at his neck. Willis was the only prisoner awake when the Wardens' body was discovered and his basitoned laughter echoed through the prison corridors in a loud silence. Fellow prisoners and Wardens alike would not mix with Willis and after the deaths of two inmates, Smithfield, who was found torn to shreds in a locked cell and Browning who was found with his eyes and tongue removed, Willis was executed on October 31st 1962. An eyewitness account states that Willis laughed as the juice pulsed through his soaking scalp. After the third attempt the power was turned up and his head exploded. In the summer of 63, Judge Smith-brown suffered a freak fatal automobile accident after his car lost braking fluid at a level crossing and the 5:15 from San Diego carved his car in two. Judge Smith-browns' head was found 300 miles down the line perched on top of the buffet car. Is your name Smith or Brown?
