Step parents rights about picking up and dropping off children.

what rights do step parents have or do theey have any rights at all in picking up step children?

I think as long as the step parent has permision it is fine

If the step parent is listed on the approval form with the school, then they are allowed to pick up the kids.

As far as rights, it's all based on the original court custody order. Beyond that, it's just a matter of agreement between the parents.

if a step parent has been with the family for over 3yrs and has a great rapport with the child and the child loves them and feels secure with them then i believe that the person in question is seen as a father or mother figure to them as the real one does not want to know til they are old enough then yes they do have the right as they are bringing and educating them up as best they can.but if the child feels resentful of them then yes perhaps the real parent should.
