In the wake of making money on stock market how many lost savings for that extra

Hopefully i will get some replies i believe. I am back again mylot after many months to get some answers about the financial meltdown. I have my friends loosing thousands of dollars on financial stocks, poor guys it was their savings.
But they did make money later on. I am just curious about how many of people out there are hit either directly or indirectly (say capital crunch).

Well I really broken down for most of my savings were lost on financial stocks. I expect that the economy of the whole world would be up next year. Even I lost money, I never sell the stocks. I would keep them till the day my daughter gets married. I believe the stock should be in big value and a big gift to my daughter at that time, haha.
