Crafting is popular for Halloween and Christmas, but I wondered how many do any Thanksgiving crafting? This has never really been a big thing for me. As soon as I get done with any Halloween crafting I am doing, I usually switch right over to Christmas projects and making Christmas gifts.

We used to make Thanksgiving crafts in my Girl Scout troop. One year the leader bought ceramic turkeys and we painted them. Another year we made turkeys with apples, marshmallows, and toothpicks. And my favorite year, we had pipe cleaners, feathers, and glue-on googly eyes and made turkeys out of those. If I recall correctly, I gave my sister one of my googly eyes so I could make a one-eyed cyclops turkey and she could make a three-eyed alien turkey.

our thanksgiving in canada is in early october and we have made turkeys with our daughters when they were little. you trace out their hand and the finger part is the turkeys tail. you could also do stuff with leaves too for thanksgiving.
