Hi snugglebunnies. Both diseases are casued by viruses. Condition-wise, the cold is manageable and could be cured with cold tablets and medicines. The flu on the other hand would keep you in bed for about a few days. The usual symptoms are colds, fever, general body weakness and aches and pains all over the body. The flu can be prevented by a vaccine but if you have already contracted the disease, antibiotics could could help relieve the symptoms.

I have never had flu, I have seen people with flu though and it is much more worse than a cold, a person with flu suffers with aches and pains and usually cannot stand at all. Wheras a cold is just stuffiness and feeling yuk! I am not sure how I would treat the flu if I had it, hopefully I will never get to find out!
