If to choose between doctor and engineer, in my opinion doctor will earn more. Not everybody can be a doctor. To be a doctor, that somebody will need to be very good in education, have quite a good family background, as to study medicine the tuition fees is extremely high, and for sure that somebody must be a very responsible person. A life is at stake when a patient visit the doctor. Therefore being responsible doctor for whatever decision made is very crucial. If serious, the person could die with just that particular decision made. Therefore I always very impressed at the doctors around me. Not only need to study hard but even at work also must be very alert! As for engineer, everybody can be an engineer. There are engineers of all different field, such as civil, marine, electronics, electrical and so on. Too many people can be an engineer. Therefore, there are too many competitors to handle. Unless you are very specialized and highly sought after, the pay will not be as much as for the doctor. If we see in our society, most of the richest are the businessmen. Instead of being technical, you can always earn big with your management skills and also venture into market with strong courage. As the income for being a businessman is not stable and not much at the beginning and also there is a lot of uncertainties, thus being a doctor promise a brighter future ahead than any other profession.

I think I would have to say either a doctor or a lawyer. With either of those you can start your own practice and you don't have to work for someone else. And then if your practice gets really big, you could start a chain of them. Eventually, you probably would just set on a board and all of the other doctors and lawyers that worked for you would do all of the work. You would only make the big decisions and be like a CEO of a company. Speaking of which, CEO's probably make even more money. Some of them make a minimum of a million dollars a year.
