i personally liked five people you meet in heaven. it is moving and touches one's soul. i think the reason why it became a success is because of its distinct plot and beginning of the story. the story begun with the antagonist's death.

It touches one's soul. Actually, I tempted to finish it four times and I read and finish it two times, and I just realized that it is something different. People that come along our way affect our lives in so many ways even though they don'e meant it, or even we don't notice it. We also affect other lives even though we don't mean it.

i agree, the character seems to be pretty relatable but i think its also a little bit realistic to a certain point. it makes the reader wonder about things and who would be in their 5 people and who's lives they've touched or influenced in some way of another. its just a very interesting topic
