Apparently my girlfriend tells me that while I sleep (happening for about a month or two)I snap my teeth. I don't really know how to explain it. but she says its like I'm biting the air, and I do it loudly and most of the night. I do not remember ever doing this. but my jaw does hurt in the morning frequently. Has anyone heard of this or know anything about it?

Well i heard of a person grinding their teeth while they are asleep but jaw snapping that is a new one. I grind my teeth when sleeping usually happens when im really stressed or upset about something the only way i knew that i did that was when my sister would hit me in the morning telling me she couldn't sleep from the sound i make when grinding my teeth. You could find a wealth of information on just about anything on webmd.com

huloo000 has given a very good explanation. you grinding your teeth in sleep indicates that there is something wrong with your health, perhaps in digestion. you can go to a doctor to see what is the matter. take it easy, there is nothing serious.

Hi carlos : I heard someone snapping like you before. a book for health tell me that there are 3 reasons for it. first ,It is sign for your body being in a conditon of subhealthy. You got too big pressure in daytime .second you have parasite in your stomache. third ,you ware in a nightmare those days . lol
