Is it the best time to build or buy a house??

I am wondering right now if this is the best time to buy a house or invest in a lot ( to be a house) despite of this going economic crisis world wide. Tomorrow i will go to a financing intuition to apply for a housing loan to be able to buy or build a house but i have my confusion right now whether my decision is good or bad and suddenly i am starting to back out . What if i wasn't able to pay it years from now ? RIght now i know i am capable of paying but how about in the future ? what do you think ?

I think it is a good time to buy. Especially if you are a 1st time home buyer. There are some real deals out there. But it really depends on your situation. If you are secure in your employment, that would be good. And if you have some money saved for the down payment. One never knows what the future will bring. If I were a 1st time buyer, I would go for it.
