how long would take on your way home?

I come from chengdu,a city in west China.my house locates in downtown and my office is in surburb,which 30 kilometers from my house.everyday I have to drive my car come and go.when I'm off duty at 6 pm,I have to spend 40 mins on single way.when I get home,it's almost 7 o'clock,my partner always gets home at 6:50 pm from her office in dowtown.then we have to prepare our dinner,we can have dinner half an hour later.when everything is done,It's 8 pm,now it's the real rest time.erveyday like this,we both feel tird.I wonder is there anybody just like us,maybe you could give me some advices how can I solve this question to have more leisure time.please share,thanks.
