Our obsession with Casey Anthony is it healthy?

I have to admit but I have been keeping up with the case of missing little girl Caleey Anthony but for a long time the news have not been about her but her mom who is responsible for her being missing. Now that a lot of the "bombshells" news are more than likely all over the news we are now hearing from what she eats in jail, to how much money she gets to what she is finally buying with it and before that we were watching reports on her mood, or lack of it, smiles, grin, high fives and or lack of tears and when she did finally cried, was she really crying or faking it? Let's see what she bought in jail:shampoo, conditioner, Cocoa butter lotion and Noxzema to underwear, envelopes, and a book of stamps, underwear, thermal shirt, chapstick and deodorant, mmm all of it for 69.71 She might as well be in a resort hotel said Nancy Grace. Does Cocoa Butter lotion makes one feel as tho one is in a high resort hotel? I did not know that, I guess I gotta try it. What I am wondering now is why I care so much? Or rather why the media cares so much to report this? Is it because this kind of reporting brings ratings in? Is this healthy?

Heyas Shelly!! (I have missed you!!) Anyway I had been following the case only, I didn't want to know or care about the other stuff. I think a lot of it is that people want to know the weirdest things anymore lol. And they are reporting all of those things becasue sadly it does bring in ratings. There are a lot of people out there that I think like to know all of the little things just to either make themselves feel better or just to know how other people live. Esp people that have been in the news.

First welcome back (I missed you too) I believe you are right, to me there was nothing extravangant about what she wanted, I might love chapstick but it is not a luxury item. And I agree it is all about the ratimgs.

What got me most about the case is that she was sitting there saying she knew where the kid was if they would let her go out and look for her instead of telling them where to find her and people not only believed it but ate it up. Somethings in this world I just don't get and probably never will get. Oh Well.

Well the only ones that I heard saying that were the grandparents of the poor little girl. At this point everyone involved in that case looks like they are lying big time.

I am sure that ratings have something to do with it, especially for "news" shows like Nancy Grace. That and they just haven't found anything better to stick their teeth into Is the nations obsession with this case healthy? Of course not. No more so than their obsession with O.J. Simpson. But, people don't care if its good for them, they just want to see someone else who is in deeper trouble with life than they are

Short of beating her I do not see any other way right now. Saddly and lucky for her she was some rights. Saddly her poor daughter did not had any rights
