Winter Gardening

Canada

Well it's that time of year here in Canada and the snow has already started to fly - most of my annuals have already died off but I have some Alyssum which just keeps on plugging and still looks beautiful. By the way this Alyssum that I am talking about is an annual and all that I have this year just came back from last. I am not complaining - I love The Alyssum and am just happy I did'nt have to buy any plants this year. Anyhow what I really wanted to talk about is the Snow and how beautiful it looks on the plants/shrubs. Here are a few pictures I took after the first touch of snow we had on October 10th

Well its great to find a person who takes so much of interest in gardening and whats better to hear is that you took the pain to buy plants. Here in India the art of gardening has been lost I feel because no one bothers to grow any plants and even if a few like me take the care to do some gardening it is spoilt by some lunatics because once the plant starts flowering,it is robbed over night. So here it is only the people who are damn rich who have big gardens but for them it is only for ornamental purposes and they hire people to do their gardening work so you cannot say it is out of interest.
