Some of my friends eat rice every day and every meal which make me puzzeled. I love bread best and I just have rice at lunchtime. During the other two meals I 'd love to have bread istead of rive. It's hard to imagine having rice at breakfast. I will feel sick eating rice at breakfast. I heard it's not so good having rice at breakfast, because rice is hard to digest compared to bread. Isn't it a enjoy having bread and milk together?

Most asians eat Rice.In India we have breakfast eats made with rice like Idlis , Dosas .The 2 main meals consist of rice with an accompaniment of dhal, vegetable fish or meat and curds which forms an integral part of all our meals. I like rice a lot, but we have chapatis and rice for dinner, less of rice and more of chapatis made of wheat flour.

hello my dear friend, i love rice and eat it every daqy and in every meal. rice is a staple food here. there are many dishes which we prepare are of rice. some sweet dishes are so awesome that i can eat it alll alone. i can have rice in my breakfaast too. white rice is not good for health but brown rice is good and more nutritious. no i dont think so that rice is heavy . steamed rice is very light. infact if a person is suffering from loose motions and he eat just boiled rice with water content more, i mean a little watery rice with a pinch of salt and asofetida, is very good for stomach. it is good to enjoy bread and milk but that is sometimes , someday when i dont have any other thing to eat. if i have to eat proper food, it has to be rice.

I have grown up eating rice every day with the exception of certain days when there was a different kind of meal that did'nt need rice as part of the meal.Rice was always eaten with curry and at Supper in our home.We only ate bread at breakfast and lunch, and snack times. On rare occassions rice would be served at lunch, maybe on festive seasons like Christmas.

I always eat rice every day. I like eating rice for each meal. There are many times when I eat fried rice for breakfast. At times I eat rice cooked in coconut milk, which is very delicious and I could finish two plates of rice at certain times. Here in my country everybody eats rice. Rice is our staple food, and we enjoy eating rice. Rice can be cooked in many types of recipes so we won't get bored eating it. Types of rice we have here are: 1. Nasi Lemak (Rice cooked in coconut milk) 2. Nasi Dagang (Rice mixed with glutinous rice) 3. Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) 4. Pulut Panggang (A type of delicacy - grilled glutinous rice) 5. Kuih Serimuka (A type of sweet delicacy) 6. Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice) And many more. We are never tired of eating rice. If you want to try varieties of rice, you can always come to my country. You will love it.

It depands where do you live and what is etnicity. For asian, usully, if they didn't eat rice in one meal, they won't count it as if they have eat. Even most of them will still feel hungry because they didn't eat rice. For me, even though I'm asian, I don't really like rice. I only like japanesse rice, or fried rice (occasionally), and Hainam rice. So usually I stay away from rice. I just eat bread, cake, meat, chichken, salad, potato, fruit, anything else other than rice. I konw it sounds silly for asian, but, not for me. I think other country have different main food. In Indonesia and China, rice is their main food

Fried Rice is a Tasty Dish ! - Fried Rice is prepared along with Spices and Vetegables fried together with Rice!!!
Well I eat rice in almost every meal! I don't have braekfast normally! But then I know people are having rice or the preparations made out of Rice in the breakfast too along with lunch and dinner!I am from India. In our country the southern part and eastern part of country is having a rich soil supporting rice and because of this here only rice is grown as a cerele crop and because of this the rice forms a staple food for the people from this area. The staes in India where Rice is eaten as a staple food are Kerala, tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa, Bihar, Bengal and few other states! In other states also the rice is eaten but not as a primary foof. Here they use wheat instead. Since I hail from southern part of India I eat rice as a staple food and my family members also eat with love!In childhood my mother used to pepare rice and now its my wife who is from Bengal she prepares rice and this is the reason we eat rice in lunch and dinner. In breakfast rice is eaten in different forms which we locally call as Idli, Dosa, Kheer, Aalu Poha or tamarind Rice. Other snacks are also prepared from Rice in the fried form and these are eaten in breakfast. In lunch we have rice in plain boiled form normally. We have the ice with either curry or puses we call as Daal. This is also eaten with non vegetarian dishes like Fish, Meat or Chicken. This is generally repeated in dinner also. Other things prepared from Rice are Pulao,Biryani, tamarind Rice, Lemon Rice, Sweet rice, Khichree and Aaloo Poha or Poha!!Thus rice forms a main diet in our daily life in breakfast, lunch and dinner! Thanks! It was a nice topic! Have a nice day!

Thanks. I am from Bengal and we like rice, eat rice and dream on rice. On thing we also is fish. Rice and fish is our favourite food. The nature has fixed food for the inhabitants of the area. That is , food pattern based on the climate of the area. As you rightly said.

Thanks for your answer. In my country, the people south seem to enjoy rice more than people in north part of the country. But actually i'm more fond of the rice grown in the north. It's because it's colder in the north and the rice have to grow much longer. The taste can change with the time the rice grow. The longer it grows the better it tastes. However, I have been to the south part of country and I feel awful about their rice. They grow too fast and taste not so good. I cannot tell why the people south prefer rice to any other food. Their rice is not so delicious as imagined.

Hi Haoyijia, rice is the staple food for the people here in my country and I love eating rice very much. I usually take rice for the daily two meals as lunch and dinner. I won’t feel bored even to take rice as my breakfast. I’m not picky in food. Though I love rice I still could take bread as my three meals. I love rice for it is the original and raw food that not processed unlike the processed noodles, breads and etc that extra materials are added to them, so rice is quite good to our health. We could prepare different delicious dishes to eat together with the rice, so we won’t feel bored to take rice frequently. Sometimes I eat fried rice or coconut milk rice together with the yummy curry chicken and sweet, hot spicy and sour fish. There really yum! Happy posting and have a nice day.

I almost eat rice every day, but not every meal. Mostly, I'll have rice for my dinner, as for lunch, sometimes I'll eat noodles or bread. Sometimes, it's rice too. But I don't think I'll eat rice for breakfast, it's too heavy for me to have rice in the morning.

Although I love rice myself and my daughter does too, No, I don't eat rice with each meal. Mostly every day, but not with breakfast. I draw the line on that unless it's something I want in particular.

you are puzzled about it because you are not used in eating rice..but for us asian esp. filipinos, we love rice and we eat it three times a day(though some filipinos want to eat bread rather than rice at breakfast but there're just few of them). ..and breakfast is the most important meal('cause you need energy for the day) so you have to eat more rice because it's rich in carbohydrates that gives you energy.

Well, in the Philippines rice is our staple. we eat it three times a day. in fact, we love rice so much that we a meal just isn't a real "meal" without rice! So we don't really have a problem with eating rice at breakfast. and as far as i know, we don't have problems with digesting it too. lol. although yes, i have heard some nutritionists suggesting bread instead of rice as it's easier to digest. anyway, like most foods, it's an acquired taste. if you grew up in a rice culture like ours you probably wouldn't think of it that way.

Hi haoyijia. Yes, I definitely eat rice every meal time. It's more energizing than bread especially if you are always on the go. But I do have bread for breakfast if I do not have much to do in the morning.

At my household, we eat rice for dinner at least two nights a week. I like to mix it with crushed tomatoes and fat free, cholesterol free butter. It's such a tasty treat.

We have the same sentiments. Haha. I like bread more but i'm obliged to eat rice when I am left with no choice or if i'm so hungry. I came from the Philippines and rice is like the staple food here, so it is common to see people who love eating rice in every meal.
